Since the 04 and up are more reliable in my eyes than the 99-2001 were.
No sludge problem to talk of, no head bolt problems, no SID problems, less ACC problems, less ABS problems, less PCV problems, less oil leaks.
02 and 03 slightly better than 01 but got the double clunk valve body problems in the 5 speed auto transmission that the older 4 speed didn't have. Also 02-05 have the weaker rear subframe bushings but that is an easy fix installing the 06 and up style.
So I don't know how the statistics were accumulated.
