The only transmission issues I've had were on my '00. On occasion the dash gear indicator stopped moving. It was still lit up but wouldn't move. The check engine light actually came on and not the transmission light. The code, read by a generic sort of reader, came back stating something to the effect of "car doesn't know what gear it is in". The first two times this happened the car did not go into limp mode with the tranny. The third time limp mode was triggered and my wife was driving. I bought a new NSS and haven't had the problem since. The tranny has 160,000 miles and isn't as smooth as I suppose it was at birth but I can't complain. I wouldn't waste time and money on the 3309 stuff. You tranny doesn't call for it. Flush the thing a few times after resetting the tranny but my bet would be on the NSS. It would be worth having the car read by a tech II. You'd spend whatever it would cost at a dealership to have it read on that 3309 stuff and be much closer to actually knowing what is going on.
