I too have a new Aero that I purchased in late April... I have just passed the 3000 mile mark and noticed "grooved" rotors from the start. This is not uncommon in modern performance cars, especially those with front wheel drive. The wear patterns will "even out" as the pads and rotors get seated. The only thing that could spoil the relationship is warping of the rotor disk - which is unlikely given the size of the rotors on the Aero.
One the reasons that the rotors last so long is that the pads are so soft. New compounds developed that do not rely on phenolics or asbestos result in very soft pads. That contributes to the rate at which the layer of brake dust forms on your wheels - which I wipe off every day
Good luck,
eric
