Well, your explanation makes sense to me. Since you stated earlier that you didn't plan to include the full size spare in the rotation, a 15" Saturn LS steel (or alloy) wheel should do nicely. You could just buy the wheel itself and mount whatever tire you wanted from Tire Rack (which would be my choice). Cheaper than doing the whole thing through a
As an aside-I wonder if the spare tire would be covered under warranty? It's not a "wear item" per se in the sense that it is not used all the time-but you could argue that its premature failure could have been from a defect. In a pinch, you could also keep a can of that selfsealing tire stuff for the spacesaver spare only (I'd never use that stuff on your other tires, unless you were extremely desperate, like in the middle of nowhere and were planning to replace the tire anyway).
