sorry Jeff, I wasn't meaning to critique your approach to this specific problem... that was just a digression... I was reflecting that although I own a hacksaw, I rarely even think to use it anymore! I can see though how having a flat saw would make it easy to do as you suggest. It is also reassuring to hear that the adhesive one holds on pretty well. Certainly is cheap and easy! Could buy a case of them even if they blow off for that price...
The rubber on our fin is separating from the roof but the fin is still ok. I probably should look into this before it leaks...
