Most or all Saab's from around 96 and up used 4 wire sensors with a split in around 2000 going from one 4 wire sensor to another 4 wire sensor.
The grey (4th) wire is the culprit in the splice problem scheme since it is combined front and rear in that splice.
The universal 4 wire Bosch 15738 fit most up to about 2000 and then the 15733 from 2000 and up but as these cars have gotten so sensitive it is a better bet to buy the ones with wire harness if you want to be sure.
His 04 9-5 (US spec?) should have the 4570909 (Bosch 16174) or the universal 15733.
