I do that: jack from the back under the (in my case) tow bar with a big floor jack (my little one does not lift high enough to get the wheels off the ground). 2 jackstands, 1 under each of the rear side jack points... I put some cardboard between the stands and the edge of the jack point, and I lower the big jack just enough that they are all stable and resting but leave the jack up also.
I really do not like the side jack points on this car. That said, I find the c900's increasingly difficult to jack as they age and the jack points rust. I'm thinking of getting one of those home-garage-storage lifts to reduce the amount of jacking I need to do...
