Hyperboost- less lag... less boost?

Yesterday I installed a Hyperboost BPV on my '02 Aero wagon. I am happy with the performance it provided- less turbo lag for a more responsive throttle. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I might be losing out a bit at WOT. I've only had the car for a while so it still feels fast, but I've noticed that the boost gauge doesn't go all the way to the end of the red zone under full boost. Does anyone know if the stock Aero boost gauge goes all the way to the end, or does it stop about 40% into the red zone (as mine now does)? I suspect I might need a stronger spring in the BPV, the place I got it at (Stratmosphere) said that I wouldn't but I'm not so sure. What is the stock Boost pressure on an Aero?
Would anyone else who has installed this product on their car like to share their experiences/tips?
Any help is appreciated.
