Back in the early 80s, I was on US50 in Nevada, doing about 100mph on a BMW motorcycle, and I saw a headlight in my rearview that was gaining on me! Well, a few more miles down the road, a kid on a Honda Interceptor (V-4 engine) passes me as if I were on the side of the road tying my shoe. He must have been doing 170 or so.

The thing that was scary, however, was that he had on only sunglasses, shorts, and flip flops hung over the rear turn signals. Not even a shirt.

That night I was in the only cafe for miles around, and in comes a Nevada state trooper who related the tale of his afternoon's work... scraping what was left of some kid off US50. Seems the kid topped a hill, caught a bit of a breeze, and went airborne. The trooper said that he had been peeled like a apple. Kinda gave me the chills, and I slowed down to 80 for the rest of the way.

Anyway, sounds like the Saab performed flawlessly, and that it was a great trip! I'm driving to Chicago from NJ soon, then back, then to Boston, then back, all in a few days, so your comment about its comfort is welcome!
