Put the old sensor in a vice and heat it up with a blow torch or paint remover with Ohm meter hooked up.
You will probably see when it gets hot how the resistance is rising and then go open circuit.
Almost all of them measure correct when cold.
Haven't had to replace an 06 and up fuel pump on a 9-5, mostly due to that there are so few of them out there. Have replaced several on the 9-3 which is essentially the same/similar pump assembly.
