most of the parts associated with that assembly are usually reusable...
In terms of tools, apart from the normal cast of characters.. you'll need a set of spring compressors. And depending on if that top nut on the shock is badly corroded, you may need a dremmel or grinder to get remove it, in order to remove the old shock from the assembly...
also.. make sure you have a pipe handy, to extend over your breaker bar for additional leverage, if you struggle getting that bottom bolt off. Some choose to replace it when doing this job... though I reused mine with no issues..
