Speaking as someone who works in a really straightforward dealer. When something goes wrong with your car and it is out of warranty your dealer has a big say in how it will get handled. If your dealer doesn't care how you are handled Saab will be more likely to not extend coverage to your failure. When your car breaks at 5:00 on Friday before labor day weekend it is the long term good customers that get their cars fixed...and the customers who bring us Bagels.
I am not saying that you should roll over and take whatever deal they offer but realise that there is a point at which it is going to shift from being an amicable business deal to a confrontation that could cost you more in the long run.
