Hi Brad,
Knew you were also looking, of course. Thanks for the extra information about other tires. Are you staying with 17 inch wheels to save money by just buying the tires and running on the same rims all year, or are there some other advantages?
Also, I've looked at the Hirsch site, but come on, the car's not even in the driveway yet!
NSteph, thanks for your comments as well. One of only a few who seem to favour the Michelins over the Dunlops...
Your comment about how many so called 'winter' tires are really configured for excelling at driving and traction in snow and ice and might actually be less desirable in wet, rainy conditions (which is what 95% of my winter driving involves) is exactly what I was looking for.
I'm still really hoping some others come in here with opinions on the best way to go for winter time here, but I'd also like to keep the thread open to discussions on the best tires for the rest of the year as well. I figure that as I'll be ordering the car for winter delivery, I may be able to swing an arrangement that the car comes in with winter tires mounted and then pickup whatever summer tires I want later.
Dave
I kind of thought I would go with 16 inch
