"Now you can change your oil anywhere without an electric motor or messy spills."
I've never needed an electric motor to change my oil.
I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work though- it looks like its just pumping the oil out from the top like a sump pump.
I think the question isn't whether it would work or not, but whether its worth your time and money to use this setup on your Saab.
I can see the advantage on the MB as it has a replaceable filter element which is removed from the top, but you'd have to lift a Saab anyways to get the filter off as its removed from the bottom, so this would just be another tool taking up space in your garage.
If you lift your car from the right hand side, IMO you can drain most of the oil- I usually pour the used oil into the empty jug from the new oil and it fills it up so I'm getting all of the oil out with the traditional method.
You might want to find out somehow if there's baffles or something blocking the way which might prevent you from using this tool in the first place before you go ahead and buy one- maybe you could try putting a section of vacuum hose or something with a similar diameter to the "topsider" hose to see if you can actually reach your oil.
Its not as much of an issue on newer cars, but I like to take the time while I'm under the car to give everything a quick look over to make sure I'm not about to lose a tie rod end or something.
Not having to guess the trajectory of the oil when you remove the plug might be nice though.
