I predict that the TopSider will be the fastest, easiest and best way to change the oil for the new 2003 9-3. Why?
Because the oil filter element will be accessible from the top (just like on the BMW and Mercedes). Notice on the new Saab that there are SEPARATE dipstick and oil fill holes, and if the dipstick tube is placed in such a way that that it accesses the lowest part of the sump then we're all set!
Lastly, if Saab puts any kind of lower engine cover or skid plate like Mercedes has then you'll be wishing you HAD a TopSider to suck the oil out from the top! I bought one just to change the oil on my mother's Mercedes... It works GREAT and I swear it gets most of the oil out. Even Mercedes dealers use a similar electric powered pump to suck the oil out. The oil drain plugs never get used (or abused)!
