4000 RPM?!?

Hi,
2.3 HOT engine has quivalent power of a 5.0L V8. So, 4000RPM gets you
almost all of the 250HP maximum.
So, I don't think this is a problem. Maybe the tires are still new
enough that they are a little slippery, but 250HP with FWD is somewhat
unmanageable. It is a GOOD thing that ESP kicks in. Otherwise, the
front tires will go up in smoke REAL soon (just like on Volvo C70).
