The car vibrates in drive because the factory setting has the idle set to be smooth in neutral with the clutch depressed(remember the Americans are really the only people who see auto trans. as a must have item); this problem doesn't come up very often in the homeland as the number of autos are fairly limited. This being said, there isn't a difference in factory idle setting between auto and manual cars, even though there should be. The bulletin corrects this by re-adjusting the idle (on an auto car) to a smooth idle setting while the car is in gear. This, essentially, cures the vibration problem.
