either on the responses, or my expectation of hp/torque at this condition.
I should have posted that I have an automatic, but felt that it really wasn't relevant.
I'm not dropping the clutch (now that you know I don't have a manual), nor am I reving it in neutral then putting into Drive.
I'm actually not even flooring it from stop. I would be quite disappointed if it didn't want to engage TCS then.
But from rolling start, I floor it, car accelerates, then around 4,000 rpm (what maybe 25- 30 mph?), I see the TCS/ESP light up for just a second, car continues to redline, shifts, light doesn't repeat in second.
I have the stock Michelin Primacy, only 10,000 miles. It's powerful enough to break traction then? I guess that I'm glad that I broke the engine in properly. Feel free to reference my previous posts on engine break-in.
thanks
Ed
p.s.
Headed now to pick car up, was told new programming to fix rough idle in gear. Will let everyone know (separate post) how that works out.
