on a '99 Honda Accord EX V6, not a SAAB. Surprisingly horrible in the snow!! I thought it might be something with the car (V6 is nose heavy) but after reading your post, it's more likely the tires.
They're labeled M+S but really should NOT be.
That Accord (with MXV4+ tires) was the only FWD car I've ever driven that "oversteered" the front-end upon acceleration! Instead of merely spinning the tires, the whole front-end would step sideways when it was slippery. Very dangerous!
People here seem to like the new Nokian WR tires which, if I'm not mistaken, are sort of in between all-seasons and snow tires. Good snow capability but can be used year round.
