Thanks for the feedback, all.
As Ian mentioned, the 9-5's have a climate control system that don't give one the option of "turning on" the A/C... and as I understood it, it'd always be on/running (or, the computer would engage/disengage when needed). There doesn't seem to be any "antifreeze" odor (FORTUNATELY!), and the carpet isn't damp.
I did suggest to the dealer that the drain lines might be clogged. He assured me that they were clear (but I may snake them myself, to be sure...)
The recirc light does come on when I hit the button. I will try to determine if the flap is shutting or not. I *thought* I heard it close when I hit the button (the tone of the fan noise changes a little, as well), but I will confirm.
It annoys me that Saab's response (as well as the dealer) was that the "problem" is normal operation (the actual problem, since they weren't able to experience it for themselves, was obviously not conveyed to its fullest extreme...)
Just picked up the car this AM from the dealer, so I will double-check on your suggestions...
