I have a 2002 9-5 Aero and have a similar complaint. In warm weather the I have to set the AC to low temp to get the car to cool. If I set it to 66 degrees in "Auto" mode it will shut down while the interior temp is in the high 80's. I have had it to the dealer 3 times with this complaint. The only suggestion I got was to set the temp lower. Should the AC run until the temp I choose is reached? Basically the Auto mode just doesn't work.
Additionally, I had the expansion valve replaced to correct the groaning woise after the car is shut off and now have a contant groan from the compressor when the engine is running.
My last car was a 9-3 SE convert with the Auto AC and it worked just fine. Why would it not work in a newr more expensive model?
