You Need "Summer" Tires

Compromises in tire design means that anything that purports to be "all season" will have it's dry and wet road performance reduced. Most "summer" tires excell in wet road traction.
Nokian NRV will work great for you. So will something like Pirelli PZero Rosso (the OEM tire for the 9-3 SS "Vector" and the 9-5 Aero, now that Michelin and GMEurope are having a snit-fit.) The Conti Sport 2 looks intriguing, if you need to stick with Conti to ease relations with your tire store, and BFG "G-force KDW" are reasonably priced. There's lots of "V" rated tires any more, but as time goes by more and more of the "V" rated are becoming "All Season". Many of them are not really all-season, despite the sidewall printing - The dunlop SP5000 comes to mind. These things are just barely snow capable, but you'd not want to use them if snow is an issue. In Hotlanta, it's not.
When you get into the "Z" and up rated tires, you need switch to size 225-50-16 - it's the same width and diameter as the 17" Aero tire, but of course it's a 16 so it will fit your rims.
