I drove the V6 and I4 back to back a number of times, and just couldn't justify the price difference for the power. I really couldn't tell much of a difference, plus I was leaning towards a manual, so that might have skewed my feelings. We now have two manual I4's, a sedan and a wagon, and fully loaded they both accelerate just fine for everyday use. They aren't as fast as my 96 900SE was, but there is a big power/weight difference between the 900 and the 9-5.
