Stay away from the "HID" bulbs which are just a normal halogen bulb with a blue tint. If you are interested though, there are real HID kits available which would give you a bulb, starter, and ballast and mounts in place of the standard H7 bulb. Search my previous posts for more information on these- lighting performance is increased, but you will not have the auto-levelling feature as on the factory units. It won't be cheap either- my set cost $1000 Canadian. Daniel Stern's web site disagrees with the use of these kits, but I've had mine on since June and I've been quite happy with them. Daniel himself even admitted that the kit on the 9-5 is better than what he expected after I sent him some shots of the beam pattern of the aftermarket setup.
