I entirely disagree with his review of PIAA bulbs; my experience with PIAA bulbs in Hondas has been EXCELLENT.
Back when I had a brand new Accord, I immediately changed the headlight bulbs to PIAA Xtreme Whites and enjoyed increased light output using stock wattage. I put the stock bulbs in the trunk as spares.
After about 2.5 years, one of the PIAA bulbs burnt out late one night while I was driving to Washington, DC. I took out a OE bulb from the trunk and replaced the burnt PIAA out bulb--the diminished light output from the OE bulb was readily apparent, and I ordered a new pair of PIAAs the very next day!
Prior to that I have used PIAA bulbs and foglights in other cars, and have always been happy with their performance. Pricey but worth it.
Currently my Aero is running ION CRYSTAL (yellow) PIAA bulbs in the foglights--the stock, white bulbs are entirely useless, and at night, from the driver's seat, it was almost impossible to even tell that they were even on.
But now, with these PIAA bulbs, the fog lights work fabulously in foul weather (especially in the rain)! Huge improvement over stock.
