I'm not sure what tires came on a 2000 Aero, but as others have mentioned the Primacy's are no good once it gets cold.
I put a set of Pirelli Snowsport 240's on my '02 Aero wagon and I've been extremely happy with them. A bit more road noise than the summer tires, but still better than most winter tires, great handling and they have a "V" speed rating so you can still have fun with them on the dry days. One thing I have noticed is that traction, even on dry roads is substantially decreased once it gets below -10C or so, but I suppose nothing will perform that well once it gets so cold!
