>>On this BB i find that people say money this and money that, if you got it, you got if you do not then you should no get a $40,000.00 + car ,with it will be large bills. if you can spend 30 to 40 on a car then $2000.00 a year is not that bad. some years you will not have any bills.<<
Um...whatever.
I didn't spend $40K for my 2000 9.5. It was around $23K (used) with 20,000 miles on the clock. Personally, I consider it a bargain (especially with the extended warranty).
Most of us expect that it will cost more to maintain a Saab than, say, a Hyundai. However, most of us would rather walk than drive a Hyundai, so it's money well-spent. ;-)
What we often object to is the extremely high cost of *dealer* service, particularly since many dealers do not deliver the high level of *customer service* that should accompany such prices. Given the relatively few Saab dealers in some parts of the country, many of us have little choice as to where we obtain dealer service, and may vent our frustration here.
Incidentally, I've endured some pretty hefty bills at my local Honda dealer for repairs to my wife's '97 Accord (out of warranty), so don't assume that all Japanese automobiles are a runaway bargain when it comes to service costs.
