Did you buy you '95 900 (RIP) as a brand-new vehicle, or did you buy it used ?
I have always felt, and once posted to you, that IMHO, your mileage increase was likely due to the 5W- of the DELVAC, vs the 10W- of the Mobil 1.
GEEZ, I just find it amazing that like you, personal experiences of over 26 years and almost 1.33 million SAAB miles, that SAABs run just fine on xW-30 oil.
It's been SAAB's primary recommendation (back then it was dino 10W-30) since my first SAAB in 1978 !!
SAAB's basic recommendation in viscosity weight for my 2002 is semi-synthetic 5W-30/0W-30/5W-40. I use FULL synthetic, not the semi-synthetic as prescribed.
Does anybody not believe that FULL synthetic Mobil 1 5W-30 gives 10x or greater protection compared to semi-synthetic oils of the same viscosity ?
What do you think ?
TG
PS :I don't know where this fever comes from to "need" xW-40 weight oil or the "sky will fall on your head" panic on this BB.
