It says 10/02 at the bottom of the product data sheet. As recent as 3 months the way I count it. You may remember, that like ADAMB, you did not believe that Mobil1 0W-40 had ILSACGF-3 certification. That was when Mobil updated their specs to include the GF-3 designation that you and I had past discussions on.
Where is this 7 yr. date you mention please?
I've been pushing this for a reason. There are pieces of information now appearing that say to the effect that ACEA A3 is not readily available in the USA marketplace. DUH, like we all here on this board realize that point.
But, continuing, these sources go on to say that a "quality full synthetic oils with API SJ or greater" may be used in lieu of oils with the A3 spec.
With that in mind, API SJ, and now API SL (API SH is out of date) does indeed provide a credible level recognition.
I'm not saying this is now "gospel"--but I am saying this is beginning to appear in various sources.
