I don't know if I'm ready, my wife wants a Honda Civic...
Nothing says you need to tell the truth, he won't do it for you.
Actually, the first Aero I drove was in Falls Church, 250 mi. from home, and the salesman collared me looking at the cars and thought i was there for service - he offered, I accepted, and told him up front that i was from out of town. He didn't care. In Manhattan, they don't offer. Their attitude on the test drive makes a difference. But make sure you take it over 2000 rpm and put the pedal on the floor for three seconds, just to see what it feels like. I bought the car in NJ, 20 miles away. And yes, be up front, no reason not to.
