drs_install <-- search keyword (hope you don't mind me adding this, Dean!)

This is for a 2002 9-5 Aero sedan. Other models are probably very similar.

1) Jack up the car and support it with jackstands, or use Rhino Ramps and wheel chocks. Set the parking brake.

2) Unlock the power connector by first sliding the red clip sideways. Then unplug the connector from the bulb holder. The bulb holder itself is removed by turning it counter-clockwise. The H1 halogen bulb is removed from the bulb holder by just pulling it straight out. If your bulb is still good, I recommend leaving it in place until the entire fog light is removed, to avoid damaging it.

3) Undo the three 10mm bolts and the 10mm nut. The top bolt on the outboard side is somewhat hidden and is facing the opposite direction.

4) The broken fog light can now be easily removed by pushing it in towards the engine, taking care around any falling, broken glass...

5) Installation is the reverse of removal; when installing a halogen bulb into the new fog light, be sure not to contaminate the bulb glass in any way--if you touch it accidentally, clean the bulb with a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol.

notes:

-the best price I found was through the TSN site sponsor, eEuroparts.com. $119 plus a low $10 for 2nd day air

-check the aim of the new foglight and adjust it so that it matches the height of the opposite side

-yellow fog light bulbs work best in inclement weather

This is very easy, a 15 minute job at most!

Jason
