and it may eat lime stains and not clear coat, when diluted. (It is diluted hydrochloric acid (HCL), to begin with). I'd test it down low, inside a door jam, etc., to see what it does to the finish before using it where it can be seen, and then apply it selectively and neutralize it with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water (a mush that can also be used to clean the acidic buildup on battery terminals - nice dramatic bubbly effect, and the stuff goes away). Then immediately wash thoroughly with lots of water. I have no doubt that left wet on your finish, HCL will in time bleach what it is on - it is what is formed when chlorine gas dissolves in water.
