Hi Bob,

I have had great luck with the EBC Green's in my '02 Aero. They have been in approximately 21K miles and the feel is great for my driving they seem to grab less and have a progressive feel - I believe that I need to use more peddle pressure (I was able to compare as I recently test-drove two '03 Aero wagons). I have found that they produce about 10% of the dust of the original pads. The OEM Saab pads are the "dirtiest" I have ever encountered - and that includes my '98 BMW (sport package) and my '01 Audi tt - both noted for messy/dusty wheels. I replaced the OEM pads in the BMW with EBC's and was also quite pleased. Its a funny characteristic of European car brake design philosophy (brake dust) - because my Japanese sports cars '94 300zx twin turbo, two Preludes never had any dust to speak of - and their brake performance was superb.

My experience with the lack of shims on the EBC's has been that they are noise-free if they have been properly installed using antisieze lubricant. And, i am careful when I do wheels-off cleaning of teh car that I don't get brake cleaning solution dribbling into the pads - that will "dry ot" the pads and increase te probability of noise (learned that the hard way with teh BMW). I was noise-free for 35k on the Bimmer and 21K (so-far) on the Aero. They will be part of the first retrofit if I get the '03 Aero SW (I order my EBC's from the Tire Rack [Eric x319]).

Because the back brakes do so little of the braking, I have left the rear OEM pads in place.

Good luck
Eric
