I've been told by the dealer that if anything goes wrong with a certified dealer within the first 90 days (if I remember correctly - I could be wrong with that number) that the dealer is fully responsible for the cost of the repairs. That is Saab's way of ensuring that dealers don't certify pieces of junk. I've read somewhere else that if you buy a Saab in a private sale, a dealer will inspect and certify your vehicle for you, at at cost. I doubt a Saab dealer would help out other non-Saab dealers with certifying Saabs, which is why you would only find Saab certified used vehicles on Saab lots.
