...by the V-6 (Arc or SE, depending on year). I observed the same things when I test drove the 9-5's and those two issues are what swayed my decision to the V-6 - timing belts and Sabbites be d*mn*d! I sounds like your coworker didn't find the little "S" button either!
Infiniti/Nissan is on a roll with their recent product offerings. Whatever deficiencies they may have are overshadowed by having boadloads of power compared to the competition.
By the way, how roomy did you find the M? I found that I could not sit up straight in one.
Lest you think that the M is perfect, remind yourself that your coworker asked for your car and not the other way around.
