Anders, what is your opinion on how important it is to drill out the low pressure hose to the 5 MM spec. Have you seen this cure oil leakage problems. I eyeballed this job and removing the breather box looks to be a fair amount of work. I disconnected the two upper hoses into the breather box and their respective openings look to be fairly large, leaving little room for expanding the opening, unless the passage narrows further inside where it cannot be seem while on the engine. I ask this because:

- At about 35K miles the engine developed an oil leak. Dealer repaired under warranty at 48K, leak was found in timing chain cover. The odd thing was that this leak started small and then grew over time.

- Now at around 68K miles I have a decent size leak (3 or 4 oil drips overnight) which looks to me to be coming from the rear main seal. It could be the head gasket, but as far as I can see this is not the case. It's an automatic, which seem to make it more difficult to source the leak, but the leak is on the drivers side end of the engine, and you cannot see oil staining the top of the tranny case.

In your opinion could these leaks be caused by excessive crankcase pressure ? And care to guess at the source of the leak ?

I thank you for any comments/advice, and I have always hated oil leaks, over time they make a hellacious mess.
