I suspect it have something to do with smog and heat at the same time.
A few drops of oil I wouldn't worry to much about if I can see where the source is.

Removing the oil trap isn't that much of work for me being able to work from under the car too. And as you see, the warranty time is only 0.6 hours. Which makes about 1.5 hours of real time.
I haven't done it enough to have statistics to show, and since all Saabs and Volvos leak oil here any way, I can't tell if it made it better after the mod.
The mod could very well be a quick fix just to stem the flow of turbo units being replaced on the early 9-5s. Or it might be the real solution for the leaky turbos.
We don't really hear that much about it now with the newer 9-5s.

The timing cover leak grows because of that the aneorobic sealant gets eaten away by the oil seepage, making the gap bigger and bigger.

It could also be the cylinder head gasket that have develop a leak. I don't think the PCV mod would do much good for that leak. Have you had the cylinder head bolts retorqued?
Did they maybe do that at the same time as the timing cover?

Rear main seal and rear engine cover is always a source too.

I would steam clean the engine very good and pour some leak dye into the engine oil, drive the car until really hot and go over it with a black light to find the spot.
