Noise of piston type BPVs

I installed my TurboXS BPV in my 03 Aero S/W. Its a quiet vehicle compared to what my 95SET was. The BPV makes a grunt sound.
Any comments from those with a Hyperboost or Forge valve about the discharge sounds of those.
The stock valve certainly never make and noise.
The TurboXS was installed piston face to discharge. There is no room to install the other way around. Even then, its too large to install and I cut 1" (25mm) off of the 25mm diameter aluminum return pipe. I could have remove less, but you never want to install with the coupler joining metal to metal which would wear and release wear metal. So a gap is good and some lenght to flex is a good idea too.
If you ever remove the hard pipe, note that the end goes into a socket in the machined casting. Whenever you see something like that, as with sparkplug wells, you have to know that there will be dirt and sand in there. A blast of compressed air is ideal to clear things fisrt. After removal, clean the o-ring and casting socket.
