If you wanna' get an idea of what any car is worth WHOLESALE access http://www.kbb.com, go to the trade in value and enter the info and select FAIR for the condition.

Your car may be in pristine condition, but by selecting FAIR as the condition you'll get a more accurate picture of the real market. This is because the market for late model cars is only FAIR because of all the 0% financing and incentives. This is because the average person over estimates the condition and the value of their trade in.

This is because most used car managers, appraisers and buyers are going to access the kbb.com FAIR condition anyway as a reference to keep from making a major mistake.

And there are lot's of cars and situations where even the FAIR condition trade in value will still be a problem, and very few vehicles that exceed that expectation.

Go ahead and get a value for good and excellent condition too and see if those numbers come any closer to your expectations, but the vast majority of the time FAIR condition is a lot closer to reality.

Of course the reality of used car trade in values is tied directly to the selling price of the replacement vehicle. Let's say you saw the vehicle you wanted advetised at a big discount, the lowest price you've seen. Dealers don't generally advertise high prices. In fact it can be very difficult in subtle ways ("that car has been sold and the ones we have left are all more expensive") to buy an ad unit as those cars are for advertising and generating showroom traffic, not for selling. kbb.com FAIR condition trade in value would be a good benchmark for a realistic trade in value on a car a dealer doesn't have any more room to negotiate on. And on the opposite end of the spectrum lots of cars are sold by meeting trade in expectations and not discounting the car as much as might be without a trade.
