Well, just went to pick up my new Linear sedan, and found out the dealer had creased the rear panel. They tried to call, but couldn't reach me before I left.
Offered to fix, of course, but were very gracious when I said no thanks. Wife thinks I’m nuts, but I really couldn’t swallow having my new car repaired before it even left the lot.
Problem is they probably can’t get a an 03 replacement. I wanted a manual tranny, with premium package, and no miles on the car. That particular combo proved very hard to find, and it’s not likely they can find another. Plus, it’ll be some time before incentives on the 04 bring them down to where this one was ($28,013 before tax and license).
Guess I’ll try to get a few more miles out of the 91 Camry.
Even though the whole thing is a drag, I will say that Saab of Westport has been great. Gave me a car to drive home since my wife had already taken off, and since we’re leaving on vacation Friday, they’re coming by to pick up the car in my driveway. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
