San Diego Service Issues Update

If anyone remembers (or cares) I took my car to MJB Saab in San Diego twice for a strange blowing or whooshing noise coming out of the right side of the engine compartment. According to MJB Saab, they had everyone from the mechanic to the troubleshooter to Mike Lynch himself, maybe even Santa Claus, drive the car, but noone could hear the noise. "Sounds exactly the same as a new car" I was told. I was told essentially that I was being over sensitive to normal noise, and Mike Lynch himself implied that maybe I'm crazy.
I took the car to Continental in Oceanside. Their mechanic immediately acknowledged that the noise existed. He worked on my car for 1/2 hour and, eureka, discovered that the air clear housing (which lives in the right front part of the engine compartment) was cracked, and allowing abnormal air flow. Thus the noise. 1 trip to the new dealer and problem solved within 1 hour.
So now I'm happy again. However the question persists: how come nobody at MJB could hear the noise? Your guess is as good as mine. My suspicion is that they were simply trying to get rid of me. Funny, this is the same impression I got the first time I went there and no salesman would even talk to me. Sometimes first impressions are closest to reality.
Now my biggest problem is that I'll have to drive 60 miles round trip for service on both my Saabs. But at least I have confidence in their service dept, so it'll be worth it. I won't let MJB Saab ever touch my cars again and advise anyone else in San Diego to do the same. Mike Lynch may be a nice guy, but their service was pathetic. Denying a problem exists is as irritating as it gets!
