Front p/s turn signal fell out

Has anyone else recently had their front turn signal assembly pop out? Driving about 50 on a wide straight country 2-lane road yesterday, I suddenly heard a strong "thump" from the right front bumper area. A glance in my mirrors didn't see any fur or feathers (or perhaps other pieces) from a critter who mistimed its road crossing, but did see something sold fall into the grass alongside the road. With the car running fine (and late for my tee time), I decided to wait until I got to the golf course about 15 minutes away. I did not a rapid right turn signal indicating "issues" with the right front signal lights. Once in the parking lot, I saw the entire signal module completely missing, with the wires neatly unplugged. No fur nor feathers nor other messy pieces from any critter, and no leading edge damage at all. When I called the awesome folks at Dirito Saab (Walnut Creek, CA), they said no problem to have it replaced (though I still need to discuss with them the small dent left about 5 inches behind the assembly).
I saw a posting from about a year ago on this. I have an '03 9-5 Arc. Any other recent thoughts?
