The Tech 2 can adjust the electronic odometer and speedometer to read correctly for a limited range of tire diameters. If this adjustment were set incorrectly, the car's mileage, and therefore, any calculations based on that mileage, could be off. As you go from large diameter wheels with low aspect ratio sidewalls down to smaller wheels with taller sidewalls, the exact rolling radius does not track exactly, so the tech 2 has the corrected values stored internally, and applies them to the car during this adjustment. Hope this explanation helps.
