the HP/torque limit for practical FWD.
Actually I guess you could have a really high power FWD drive but all the power wouldn't do you much good from a stop or low speed unless you like burning tires and spinning in place. I don't know of anyway around this unless someone designs a big weight to move to the front at launch.
A RWD car or a AWD can transfer power to the road much better than FWD for quick launches. Of course AWD adds weight and loss but they become negligible with a high power engine.
