That have me stumped. Was it on idle or high rev the belt jumped with cover off? And do you hear any misfire at the time?
Please let us know if you find the problem.
Just as a wild guess, you know that the 9-5 V6 belt is different than the V6 belt for the NG900 and 9000? I'm not even sure if it would be possible to mount a 900/9000 belt on the 9-5?
I know that the timing marks end up at wrong places because of the slightly different placing of the lower idler pulley.
