I had a problem with my brakes develop after my tires were rotated in late August, 10,000 miles after I replaced the rotors and pads. Over the next 30 days they grew progressively noisier when lightly applying the brakes, such as parking deck speeds, drifting forward at a stoplight, or when simply releasing the brakes. Noise was continuous (not pulsating) and there was no noise during standard or hard braking.

Bought all the stuff to lube the moveable brake parts and silence the pads, but couldn't get the wheels off! The "Technicians" at the tire store had torqued the wheel lugs to 120 ft-lbs in the rear and 160 ft-lbs in the front, Saab states only 80 ft-lbs!!!

Made the tire store re-torque the lugs to proper specs (with a torque wrench this time) and the noise slowly disipated over the next 30 days. Still reappears sporadically (one braking situation a week maybe), but I installed performance pads when I replaced them in March and this random noise may be the nature of the beast. It happened infrequently before the over-torque too,

Luckily it appears my rotors survived (also Zimmerman's) and the hubs appear to be undamaged also. I made it clear to the tire store that they would be responsible for the cost if there was a later problem with these parts.

Complain to the Dealer if you know the torque values were too high. Retorque properly, look for any damage, and closely monitor the sound for hints of improvement.

Hopefully you will have similar luck to mine with no lasting problem.
