What are the preferred solutions to these 9-5 faults?

A few minor items that didn't dissuade us from buying the 9-5 but will definitely annoy us if not resolved:
1. Inadequate cup holders. The slick dash-mount cup holder won't hold a mug with a handle and it feels like it will probably break in short order. The second holder inside the console is useless in that position and it takes up most of the already sparse storage space.
2. 12V socket not deep enough to hold accessory plugs. I checked this out during our test drive and both my cell phone charger and radar detector plugs slip out and fail to maintain contact because the socket is much shallower than standard.
3. Lack of front seat storage spaces. Where do you all keep sunglasses, pens, cell phones, parking passes, etc?
I'm sure we're not the first owners to encounter these shortcomings so I'm hoping that you'll all share your solutions to the above. We bought the car anyway because the driving experience is so remarkable but we also want it to be easy to live with in mundane day-to-day driving.
Thanks!
