Ya, Ya... 'ist gut for driver, but what about the significant other in the passenger seat and the three teenagers in the back? Or when I want to crack open a bottle of water while stuck in a two hour traffic jam, and am doing no more driving than pushing in the clutch and stepping on the brake?
Bottom line is that, as a seller of a product, you have to give the customer what they want, no matter how much it seems to not make sense. Like 4 wheel drive for the 98% of the SUVs out there that have never used it!
