Last week of June last summer, 2.3 lpt wagon, 5sp, 1999, 89 octane.
Philadelphia to Bangor Maine 35.4 mpg based on fill to fill at the pump, not SID (my SID is actually lower on the highway, and 1 mpg too high in the city!)
2 adults, 2 11 year olds, assorted gear, ran cruise around 67 mph except when traffic slowed us. AC maybe 1/3 of time, my DRL is defeated.
Would make it onto Mt. Desert Island on one tank easily, but gas is significanlty cheaper on the mainland.
I would love to see what this does at 60, but this is way too long a trip to sacrifice that time when we are doing this non-stop except for the euphemism. Our family has mastered eating in the car.
