02-04 Aero spec. sway bars - no remarkable difference?

This weekend I installed the front and rear '02-'04 Aero spec sway bars which I purchased from Nick at Taliaferro (I also put on Eibach Pro-Kit springs and Bilstein Sport shocks).
The sway bar install was fairly straightforward, with the exception of the passenger-side front sway bar clamp, where the rearmost bolt was seized (we took it out with a blowtorch and used a new bolt for the installation). Dropping the subframe of the car made things a lot more easy, and we had to disconnect the O2 sensor in order to pull the bar through (removed it via the passenger-side wheel well).
I can definitely feel the difference with the new springs and shocks, but not really with the sway bars. My understanding is that the stock sway bar diameters on my 9-5 were 19mm front / 16mm rear --> upgraded to 21mm front / 17mm rear. Considering the bars were upgraded only 2mm and 1mm respectively, should I not have expected a dramatic improvement in body roll?
I expected "greatly enhanced roadholding". Am I missing something? What have your experiences been with these sway bars?
Thanks-
Stephen
